– The Morgan Education Foundation will be one of 500 nonprofit organizations benefiting from the Love UT Give UT fundraising campaign on Thursday, March 26, 2015.

Last year, more than 10,500 people from across Utah raised $1,058,839 for 460 charities in one day. Love UT Give UT’s vision is that everyone contributes to the causes that matter most to them – their school, a favorite charity, or a specific need. The 24-hour giving campaign uses an online platform,, with an affordable minimum donation amount of only $10.

This is the second year the Morgan Education Foundation has registered as a recipient of the campaign to benefit the four public schools in Morgan County. In 2014, the Foundation received more than $2,000 as a result of the Love UT Give UT campaign.

Many Utah employers sponsor the event as a whole, or provide matching donations for their employees. Since the employee picks the charity, companies are not forced to pick a favorite cause, reflecting the increasing diversity of Utah’s workforce and population.

“Last year we raised $2,199 during the Love UT Give UT campaign, with a large portion of the money coming from a matching employer donation,” stated Morgan Education Foundation president Diana Windley. “The Foundation’s Board Members voted to direct the Love UT Give UT donations to the Connections for Classrooms fund, which has helped improve infrastructure relating to technology in our schools.”

Windley commented that the Morgan Education Foundation members had not voted yet on how to utilize funds from the 2015 Love UT Give UT campaign, but it was likely that some or all of the dollars raised will go towards technology upgrades.

“Several members of the administration and faculty have expressed the need to upgrade networks, computers and programs in our schools,” continued Windley. “As a Board, we feel strongly that investing in technology will have the greatest reach and impact on the largest number of students and teachers.”

The Community Foundation of Utah offers incentives to encourage participation of Utah residents and businesses during the Love UT Give UT campaign, including:
