Scholarships

ScholarshipspageheaderThanks to the generosity of the community and scholarship board, each year the Morgan Education Foundation presents exemplary Morgan High Students with scholarships for their pursuit of higher education.  This program has been a model for other districts and foundations.

 

This year’s scholarships will be awarded at Scholarship Night on May 12th, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at the Morgan High School auditorium. Seniors receiving institutional and local scholarships are welcome to attend as well as any interested community members.  Congratulations, Seniors!

 

FOR DONORS

Donations for scholarships can be made by check, made out to Morgan Education Foundation, please put Scholarship Board in memo line or by Venmo @Scholarship-Board (QR code below)  If your donation exceeds $500, please contact Kristina McGreer at 801-829-8486 or Jim Wiscombe at 801-829-3418 to designate scholarship specifics.  Thank you for your generosity!

FOR STUDENTS

Students may apply for local scholarships April 6th-17th, 2020.  Specific instructions and applications will be available on the MHS Counseling Center Website and at the MHS Counseling Center.  Applications will not be accepted after the established deadlines.

To be eligible to apply for local scholarships to a college or university, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Graduate from Morgan High School
  • Have taken 6 of 18 core classes your senior sear (math, science, social science, English, foreign language)
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or a senior GPA of 3.2, no current “F’s”
  • You must have taken the ACT
  • Be eligible for extracurricular activities, no current “F’s” or “U’s”

To be eligible to apply for local scholarships to a vocation or trade school, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Graduate from Morgan High School
  • Be eligible for extracurricular activities, no current “F’s” or “U’s”
